Motion

Medical research has highlighted that we should spend at least 40% of our time standing at work, whilst standing all day or remaining in a sitting position for more than 2 hours at a time significantly increases health risks. It has been suggested to regularly stand up at work. SOS’ Motion table range integrates the adjustment mechanisms seamlessly into the desk frame giving a clean and less mechanical appearance. These can also be installed as single desks or clustered workstations improving the efficiency of the structure and provides users with the means to configure and arrange workstations to suit their interior space.

Office work is no longer about fixed reporting, location, or postures. Mobile devices and information technology has effected a paradigm shift and the work environment has begun to evolve from fixed uniform spaces into a broader range of work settings. Released from the shackles of designated desks SOS has the freedom to work whenever, wherever and however best suits the task. Annd is a flexible furniture system, based on a collection of a few intelligent components capable of creating fundamentally different workstations.

Designing with the STRETCH encourages the planners to define the task and then visualise the alternating needs of every person, group or team, rather than defining the work modes as the focus for layouts. This unique concept not only allows endless combinations for the same desks and cabinets, it also is equipped to create a completely new architecture and aesthetic.
